Artist Statement

My artistic journey started over 20 years ago influenced by my background and culture. My biggest, and earliest, source of inspiration comes from Persian rug patterns, calligraphy and illumination. Later through art lessons and experimentation I started to gain skills in a range of different painting styles. Consequently, I like to embrace a variety of styles and techniques, and this is reflected in my artwork. I enjoy painting landscapes, pet portraits and any form of painting that allows me to express my feelings and ideas. As I use colours and lights as tools to evoke my emotions, I aim to invite viewers to experience the world through my eyes .
