Artist Statement

Stage Left Lux are a unique lighting business based at Banks Mill in Derby City Centre, we design and handcraft a range of one-of-a-kind lamps & feature lighting using repurposed objects and upcycled materials and create bespoke lights made to order, to meet your needs and interior design style.

We take every day old and unused household objects and upcycle them into practical and artistic lighting features that look perfect in any home.

A lamp for any purpose, we can design and create wall lights, table & floor standing lamps and ceiling lights.

Our main specialty are lamps and light fittings in a unique rustic-steampunk style giving a beautiful blend of industrial heritage and rustic charm, using materials such as steel and copper combined with natural materials such as reclaimed oak to create beautiful and inspirational lighting features.

We can turn practically any old object into a lamp, from old sewing machines, bottles, telephones and even trumpets!

With our bespoke lighting services, you can provide us with your old unwanted objects such as old telephones or musical instruments and we can transform them into lamps for you, this is a perfect way to give old sentimental items a new useful purpose.

We also repair, rewire and restore vintage lamps and antique light fittings and chandeliers.
