Artist Statement

Tactile, sculptural ceramics inspired by seed pods, pebbles, barnacles and other natural treasures.
I'm inspired by indents carved by the rhythm of the sea, broken edges and weathered surfaces found in nature.
Each piece is unique - embracing the imperfections created through an intuitive making process - sometimes hand built, sometimes thrown and altered.
I create unusual surfaces by combining textured clays, organic materials, slips, metals and paper.
