Artist Statement

I have always worked in a variety of ways; experimenting (playing) with new media, techniques and styles regularly. Sometimes things work, sometimes they do not... that is how it goes!
I have levels of personal meaning throughout my work, whatever media it is in - this can show in the choice of materials (I often work with repurposing) or in the imaging used (especially when painting). I like a twist of some sort, whether that is implied or obvious.
Sewing has been an integral part of my life, since a child, and I experiment with repurposing/recycling to make functional individual items.
3d and sculptural ideas are always buzzing around; again using repurposed/recycled elements.
