Artist Statement
Hi there,I’m Sue and I am based at Long Eaton Art Room.
I’ve been creating and making jewellery for over 20 years, and continue to explore different materials which provide the starting point for each collection.
Over the years I have worked with a variety of mediums, and try and incorporate my love of crochet wherever possible. I am best known for designing pieces using vegetable ivory (Tagua) and love to use this as a focal point of my jewellery. As an eco friendly alternative to animal ivory from South America, I try to combine it with other natural materials.
