Artist Statement

Anthony Lewis Dowell is a contemporary post-impressionist painter, based in the Hope Valley, Derbyshire. His work is inspired by past masters such as van Gogh, Gauguin and Toulouse-Lautrec. Anthony's passion is colour, his paintings are bursting with bold tones, graphic brush marks and striking compositions.
