Artist Statement

Violet Barrow is a self taught artist whose passion is Needlefelting although watercolour, pastel and charcoal are other mediums she enjoys. Since retiring to the Peak District during lockdown she spends her time creating works of art to sell for the local community to raise funds. She has raised over £6k this last year towards the rebuild of Chinley Community centre. Her studio overlooks Eccles Pike to the front and Southhead to the rear, she spends many hours gazing over these natural wonders as inspiration. She also teaches small classes in the art of Needlefelting from her inspirational studio. Her Facebook page is Feltin2it .
