Artist Statement

Sally uses fabrics collected and salvaged over many years, along with the material she hand dyes at home using vegetable dyes. Sometimes whimsical, sometimes abstract, Sally works from original drawings and is inspired by nature and the female form. She combines applique with free-motion embroidery to create colourful one-off lampshades and 2D pieces.
