Artist Statement

I make artwork by hand using paper and fabric collage from the paper, ephemera and fabric pieces I collect. These take the form of pictures, both framed and unframed, some contained in customised tins and boxes. I create sketchbooks, altered books and fabric books using the broad themes of travel, landscape, the sea and the cosmos. Words or poetry often inspire a piece. I also make hand stitched postcards and greetings cards.
