Artist Statement

After studying graphics at Liverpool School of Art, though it was known as Visual Communication in those days, I was lucky enough to find work in animation almost immediately, and stayed in that field for the next 43 years.
Having then retired, I took up seriously what had previously been nothing more than a hobby, and produced artwork using calligraphy and hand-lettering. but arthritis put a stop to that, and I found that paper mosaics - cutting 'tiles' out of coloured paper - was easier on the hands, and I continue to produce artwork in that medium from my studio in Furness Vale.
