Artist Statement

Mixed media inspired by Japanese Boro cloths; Indian/ Nepalese textiles; folk art including Chilean Arperillas; vintage linens, etc. Vintage fabrics are used to produce new pieces by patching, piecing and layering with added embroidery stitches. “Collecting” plays a big part of my practice - multicultural/vintage textiles, memorabilia, and artefacts.
