Artist Statement

I am a portrait artist, who also gets tempted by other subject matter.
I started drawing portraits at the age of 15 and love the compelling challenge of capturing a likeness.
I work in oil, pastel, watercolour, pencil, charcoal and lino print, sometimes separately and then sometimes I mix them together, exploring what the mediums can do for the subject in a combination of traditional and experimental application.
