Artist Statement

Lizzie Brown Cartwright exhibiting as lizziebrownart at the National Stone Centre, Wirksworth has recently moved back to Derbyshire from deepest Cornwall and the work showing is of both land and sea.
Working mainly in oils, she works intuitively in her surroundings having a head full of wonderful images, sounds, emotions. although paintings have been large in the past most of her work now is small. framed and unframed plus handpainted cards. Lizzie is looking forward to her renewed artistic journey back in Derbyshire where it started 20+ years ago.
