Artist Statement

I recreate miniature wooden houses and historical buildings, for example I have been commissioned by the conservation team of the Belper East Mill to recreate a miniature version in order to help raise awareness for its preservation. I have produced many shops, pubs and cafes in the Derbyshire region and if you wander around the town of Belper you will most likely spot a miniature on the counter or on a shelf behind ( a treasure hunt some may say!)
I take commissions for private homes as they make a perfect unique gift for that person who loves their own home.
My Miniatures are made from recycled pieces of wood, then hand painted using textures and colours to create a realistic impression of the particular building . Most of the models stand at approx 12cms high.
