Artist Statement

I developed a keen interest in watercolour in my childhood and after winning prizes in a national television show, a career in wallpaper design followed.
A career change and a growing family resulted in a brief pause in my painting until around 25 years ago when I decided to revisit my interest in the watercolour medium.
My father was a keen oil painter but watercolour has always been my preferred choice. I lean towards the more modern style of strong and vibrant colours whilst capturing the mood and realism of the scene .
