Artist Statement

My memories of places, people and animals are captured in my paintings. Whether it is a fun holiday with spectacular views, a sighting of a beautiful bird or the feeling I had when I stood on the beach. They all tell their story but what is wonderful is that I have found by sharing my art, other people discover their own stories connected to the paintings too.
Acrylics are my choice for painting as it is so versatile. I have spent the past six years developing skills needed to help me create my paintings and I will continue to learn.
My studio is based at Long Eaton Art Room where I work alongside other artists and my sweet dog Ella. It’s a wonderful place to work and has given me the space I needed to explore and play more with my art practice.
I also offer Acrylic and Gouache class once a month at Long Eaton Art Room.
