Artist Statement

Jan’s work is primarily created using the wet felted method, integrating other fibres and fabrics into vibrant, layered compositions. She enhances these surfaces with simple stitching to bring texture and detail. Her inspiration is drawn from the ever-changing landscapes around her, reflecting the interplay of light, colour, and form through the seasons. Rich, vibrant colours and organic forms are central to her pieces, as they express her emotional connection to the natural world and the beauty she finds within it.
